What is Solar?

Solar Kaihdin Oy was founded in 1988 (originally Kalajoen Kaihdin Oy). We manufacture venetian blinds, pleated blinds, and insect screens for windows and doors for industrial customers, retailers, and directly to consumers via our online store. Solar Kaihdin Oy’s modern production facilities are located in Kalajoki.

Sustainability

Solar values nature and the environment. SOLAR – love the sun. In autumn 2018, Solar installed 220 solar panels. The solar power plant covers approximately 20% of Solar Kaihdin Oy’s electricity consumption. We hope for sunny days!

Recycling

We recycle waste generated during production. We recycle metals, waste cardboard, and packaging cardboard. Solar collaborates with factory customers in reusing packaging cardboard; customers return cardboard to us, and we reuse it. The same packaging cardboard can be used up to seven times!
